Thanks for hosting, and for the wonderful reference photos, Joel ! Life was busy this week so I'm late... the coming w/e images are already up !
I figured many buskers have a dog companion, and this guy needed a friend, so now he has one. about 8x11" (20x28 cm), in a sketchbook not meant for w/c, (so I used a bit anyway), first did a pencil sketch, then the w/c and felt it needed a little more clarity and used a 03 Pentel pen which was a mistake, but hey, that's how we learn ! Could *not* get a correct colour photo with the camera, so scanned it and cut off the dogs tail. Oh well. If I keep fiddling it'll be June, so let's just go with it. :wink2:

Love this sweet scene, Lauren, nothing at all wrong with it. The dog appears very contented.

The dog is an excellent addition to this scene, giving it a story and solidifying the composition, not to mention the whole thing is well-painted.
