View Full Version : Lavender and Wildflowers

This is a larger 16" x 20" version of a smaller painting done on location.
I did it as a demo for a class I taught this month. Though it needed some touch up in the studio!

I find it really hard to paint and talk at the same time. Somehow I just lose the words, or I lose my place in the painting. Ha! That's why when I make videos I just paint first and then do a voice over. Much easier :) Wish I could figure out how to do that for a class... Hmmmm.

Very pretty, Karen. How long was the class? It seems you painted very quickly.

Thanks Margaret. It was a 2 day class, 4 hours each day.
I worked on it at home afterwards though for sure.
They were working on small canvases, I used a bigger one so they could see. But I tried to keep things simple the way they would paint it small.
So when I got it home it was pretty sparse :)

I can see it better now on the computer - was on the tablet earlier.
I also like the light you create in your paintings and the trees, everything about it really.:)
