This one took me a couple of sessions at the table.

Oils
Canvas board
10" x 12"
not the best photo but I wanted to get it on here in time.

They look really juicy - especially the first version!
Very well done.

i'll be back on FB now I have my laptop sorted. I just had a few things I needed to finishe and I've had a terrible week healthwise. Yesterday I was able to make a start but the days before that have been awful.

I like it on the dark background- gives it a whole different look.

thanks Wendy. I was going for the old Dutch school. It was an experiment. I did thin layers, applied paint diluted with real turps then rubbed it in with a rag. It has 3 alternate coats over the alizarin canvas ground (big mistake that was!). The first was phtalo blue, then burnt umber then another phthalo blue all applied and rubbed in with a cloth.

Eas fun to play but I was frustrated by the ground.

A most unique take on the subject. You really added drama to it and made it look great as a painting. I see some master work there!
Thanks for participating this week!

Great grapes! Some of the fruit seem to float a little.:)

I am amazed at the transformation from 'the one you 'slept' on, to the final ! What a luscious, juicy still life !!
