Thanks Joel for hosting and the great images.
Today I did an acrylic painting following a tutorial by Patti Mollica on the Strathmore online workshop. I really admire her work and attempted the still life in a similar style, but with different paints, surface and brushes :(
I don't really want to go out and buy more new art supplies so I just used my old limited palette of cad red, cad yellow, alizarine, pthalo blue, ultramarine and white. On 20 x 16 cm Matt board. It is quite a fast method of painting, for me anyway. Just over 1 hour.

I might have a go with this technique in gouache, less cleaning up

Hey, me, too! I like yours better, looser and fresher. I should have used a bigger panel.

You made an otherwise boring subject really interesting. Very painterly work and I love it that the brush strokes are visible.
Thanks Ros!

Different for you Ros - I really like this treatment you've given it - lovely juicy and chunky brush strokes - do more acrylics!:)

Totally AWESOME colours ! Works so beautifully in this painting, but now I want you to take the background colours and paint some lilacs and hydrangeas - *so* delish !
