I'm having way too much fun with this. This time, the ship is all my own, modelled in a resurrected copy of Ray Dream 3D that I bought on ebay!

Comments always appreciated, and perhaps a little help. I am looking for internet urls to the work of Frank Frazetta. Any assistance would be great.

TIA!!

Cool ship. Reminds me of the troop evac scene in "Starship Troopers".

Enjoy your Frazetta....

Greetings:

This one looks more like a Harris image, but still not quite.

Harris paints big like no one else. His stuff always has amazing perspective: vast landscapes made out of enormous, long-ago crashed starships, ships on the horizon that look huge, and of course, ships in dry-dock that are gigantic.

Make the ship reach all the way across the frame, or turn it, so that it seems to stretch out into space forever.

But, nice design on the ship...

Keith.

I couldn't have said it better. It's breath taking how he communicates the sheer SIZE of his subjects. I don't think I'll get close though, because these are digital, while his are oils (I guess) and there is something about the brushwork that's available in that medium that is central to his images. Still it's fun to have something to aspire to.

one other artist for the large, weathered look is Chris Foss
he in some ways started the whole thing off just like FF did
for fantasy well thats my opinion

From what I've read, a lot of people agree with you. He was also the illustrator responsible for the line drawings in The Joy of Sex!
I read that when asked by a reporter where he got his ideas for his spaceships he said "I run out side real fast and take a picture when they pass by overhead!"

I know you asked for Frazetta links, but I think you'll like Jeffery Jones as well-- big on the sort of Harvey Dunn/Wyeth/Cornwall style that Frazetta has elements of:
