Hi folks, I don't hang here often but thought I would share these two oldies. I can't remember if I have ever posted them here before. They are both 12X16 and the first one is on stretched canvas, the second one on Masonite. The barn wood frames of course are real. :)

Great job on the wood grain! The frames and the painted wood are very similar in their detail and shows your skill at rendering, it's very impressive to me. I'm still learning Acrylics myself and haven't got nearly to this level by any means, but I hope to be able to do such high quality eventually.

Really really nicely done, I can' say enough good things about these.

I have never seen them before and am pleased you posted them. I think they are both super. Love the way you have painted that weathered wood.

Thank you Delo. I take spells with acrylics and paint only in them and then I go back to oils. I guess I am fickle. :D

Thanks Cliff, I appreciate it. :)

Thank you Chammi. I love painting in the trompe l'oeil style.

Thank you Derek. I haven't painted in acrylics for a while but most people can't tell the difference. :)

Really wonderfully done. I love the details throughout including the grain of the wood, the rust in the cow bell, the rust in the scissors, etc. Really nicely done!

SnoMarg, you throw those acrylics around just as well as you throw around the oils. Superb! Great textures and contrast between different materials in the objects.
