View Full Version : Crow #2

I cut loose on this one. The 2nd crow I created on the same day as Crow #1. Pretty much to same kind of surface. 9x12 canvas board that was laying in a flat drawer.
I am sure we all have paintings that just aren't going anywhere and we put them to sleep 'till later.

The texture of the board is to rough for detail and I didn't want to gesso over it. Call me lazy. Besides there was at least an over all tone to the surface which saved a step.

The camera I took the pic with could only get a blurry image but enough to get a gesture going.

This is fabulous! I love it! The wonderful colors, the crow's expression, you even got that red eye perfect. I am not sure the beak is anatomically correct, but the painting is nonetheless stunning.

Vibrant and fresh. I like the way the bird seems to be emerging out of the shadows into the light. Well done!

Jayde, Pastel and Blayne,
Thank you. It was a great deal of fun. I didn't know if this would work or not. But ya don't know until you try.

Very cool crow! I like the chaotic, energetic background. Crow#1 is very nice too!
