View Full Version : WDE 4-17-15 Lock of Love (Late)

I finished this yesterday morning at my art class but didn't get a chance to post it when I came home.

5" x 7", Arches 140# cold press, ink and watercolor, about 2 hr.

This generated a lot of conversation about the problem they have become in Europe because they are so popular. In some of the cities, every open link fence is covered with locks!

I've heard that in some cities they are causing damage to fences, there are so many. They are starting to turn up here too now.

This is really good, there are some lovely textures and clean colours. I especially like the rust detail, and the shackle on the padlock to the left shines :)

Really nicely done, Anne! That's interesting about them. We've not seen any here but don't live near any large cities.

This is wonderful, Anne! Love the rust you created. Nice work on the lettering of the names too.
I had no idea this was a big deal to do in Europe. In fact, I'd never seen or heard of it before. Who knew it was an actual issue.
