Horses with the large gate removed, but replaced with an "invisible fence"
They look a little starved in my interpretation. ...sorry...not too fond of painting horses. ..But thought they were ideal for this medium I fancy: Woodburn and acrylics on 10" x 8" wood panel. (2 hours)

You've done a really good job of the horses. I like the woodburn, lovely lines. Looks nice and clean without the fence too.

Yes they look a bit leaner but fabulous, it was a difficult pose and you nailed it and I love it.

That choice of subject was a difficult one to interpret, and you did a fine job!

Richard, this is wonderful and the method and medium work well with the subject matter.

I think they look great with their invisible fence! So you burned the wood and then used acrylics?

Terrific, both the wood burning and the colouring

Lovely. The wood burning works wonderfully with this reference.

Yes I did Valri....could have kept the wood burn finish but wanted a richer look on the horses, so the acrylics helped.

These horses look like they are '5' on the 'Henneke Body Condition Scale' - which is perfect, so they are not skinny but just right ! Love the idea of wood-burning this image, I think this turned out wonderfully.
