Each is 5" x 7", ink and watercolor on Stonehenge. I think about 1 hr. each but as usual I lost track of time.

Thanks Christine for wonderful images this week. It was really hard to choose.

They are both wonderful Anne, the gorgeous little duck looking at us with that inquisitive cheeky eye is my favourite but then the weathered old boat is pretty good as well. I love them both.

I love both of these. i really like the worn wood and the waves in the boat picture and the duck is really cute. :)

Mr Duck is mighty handsome and has wonderful webbed feet, but that boat really catches my eye ! The curvy lines of the hull's edge, and the colours and shading of the hull itself are truly beautiful. The atmosphere feels so crisp and clear like sea air should ! Tiniest c&c for next time is that water is always level, but I wouldn't change a thing on this one, because it's beautiful just the way it is.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Ooops! I saw that it wasn't level in the photo but thought it was because of the land. I didn't pick up that the little piece of water that stretched to the horizon was also slanted. I'll be more careful next time.

Thanks,

Anne

Superb work, Anne, on both!
I can relate to the slanted water horizon line. Master watercolorist Tony Couch saw where I did this on a boat painting in one of his workshops, because that is how the photo was. He scolded me in front of the entire class in a humorous way and never did I forget it. He's a Navy veteran so that gives him the right he said.
