Hi all and Christine... was looking yesterday and I really like that picture of the Fab 5 and also the Fig tree lined lane,
and was wondering where to go with them as lately I've been bored with my work.
So this is what I ended up with...It's not one or the other, but it is.
Didn't come out the way I originally was thinking, but this was so much fun,
just worked quickly and didn't think about it too much.....

Mix media, I roughed in the shapes of the figures with black liner pen, then used watercolor pens
with brushes on the end of them.(have no idea where those came from :) and acrylic inks.
Then I played with a few things in Photoshop Elements.. Took a couple of photos along the way....

Done on 8.5 x 11 card stock.... as a study.....for larger canvas
So looking for some feedback, I'm liking some of it......:)
C&C welcome

Kay....I like your title too...Free Spirits, may borrow that one also...:)
Have started map out where I want to go on the larger canvas.
Thinking on doing a series of them, will call them Fantascapes.
I've been very enthused with this, so want to continue the experience......:)

Bonnie, Valri, and Anne Thank you all glad you like what I did here.
Valri what a lovely thing to say ....:) and yes, I'm going to try work with a good size canvas I think it needs way more room to really work.
Will post in this forum when I have something to show.....
Bonnie, I really like the name you used Spirit Trees or Tree Spirits, may borrow that one too :wink2:

Like the first 3 on the left, and the one in front on the right, but the right looks a bit crowded and would eliminate one/two or make more space when painting your larger picture. Love it. More abstract might be good, but this does have loads of potential. This should really be a long time work in progress. Hope to see your final painting.

Susan, Paul, Jean Paula and Robert, thank you for your kind words, I very much appreciate them :cat:
Paula, I can see that you feel just where I'm coming from/going too with this. What you said are my thoughts too .
That's what is so great about the WDE's you get an idea, you put it down on canvas/paper, to examine, you ask for feedback,
and develop further if you want.
Then Ta! Da!.....a Masterpiece !!!!

This is so exciting ! I love the composition the way it is, but would like to see the upraised arm not cutting off the lovely head quite so strongly... don't know how to do that unless by softening the edges of the colours.

Kat, and Lauren, many thanks for great input here.
Also for the heads up on the arm, amazing what one doesn't see till it's pointed out at times, yes, it's in the way so will work on a solution. I've started work on the larger canvas. Will take some time, as life keeps getting in the way, but will post here in the forum when she's ready.....
