Another 6 x 8 inch acrylic and inktense crayon on paper. The stuff on canvas is still fighting with me but I am getting there, in the meantime these little guys are keeping me amused. I tried a couple of colours that have been lurking unused in my paint tray, ultramarine violet and cobalt violet, along with indian yellow and various inktense thingies.

a true non-objective abstract, try as I may, this seems to be nothing except an absolute delight for the eyes. Wish I could touch it.

loving this

LOVE this heavy texture, and of course the colors.
Have you used any pastel on this one?

Lush for such a small piece. Do it bigger. K

Thank you all so much for your encouragement, it is much appreciated! I will be trying a painting using the same colours but in a larger format. It will probably end up nothing like this one as I very rarely plan what I am going to paint!

I am enjoying working on paper for a change but it does limit me to certain sizes as I have to frame them. I have a small stash of frames that I am using up to avoid spending money on more. Babs, I have used inktense sticks on these last few, it has a slightly different feel to pastels.

Youve achieved quite a texture with those. Also like the transparent filters of blue.
