I did this one last summer during a 5 day workshop and finished it at home. While working on her I really fell in love with her.

I lost most of the drawing while painting so it is certainly not exact but I am still very happy with the result. I had never attempted anything like this before.

It was such a great lesson in colour mixing, layers, fat over lean, fabric, ...

We started with a colored underground

Second step we did a tracing in raw umber from a same size print

After that the real painting started with an imprimatura in raw umber.
