Here is a pastel I did plein air painting with my friend Master Artist Tom Christopher. We meet near the Museum

You hang out with a very talented crowd. I wish I had the nerve to use those vibrant blue/violets. Lovely.

Karen just go for it, what's the worst that could happen, I do love color. Since I have been absent here, I have served 1 year as VP, 2 years as President, and now Past President of the Pastel Society of Colorado. Been pretty busy. I have meet & become friends with so many great artist.

This painting is spectacular.....i love the colors. That little spot of red makes me want to follow the path into the heart of the woods.

Scott, this is glorious! I love the color and strong vibrant strokes. Evening comes alive in all its rich colour and the depth in this paining exhilarates me. A great nocturne. It can't have stayed this colour more than a couple of minutes but you knew what you were doing!

I was visiting my daughter in Des Moines Iowa, & meet up with Tom to paint near the Museum, it was in the morning. I really struggled with this piece. I didn't finish it there but later that day sitting in my Daughters back yard, that area between the trees wasn't right, & giving me fits, so I figured what the heck. I did some scribbling and some wonderful color notes and wa la. I entered it into the Mile High International show and was juried into the show, by Richard McKinley, it was an honor.
