View Full Version : One Fine Spring Day

Another one I painted during my break from the forum.
Acrylic, 16" X 12"
This painting is based on a photo I took at a local parkway. The photo was taken on an overcast day with some city ugliness in the background. I converted the day to a sunny spring day and replaced the city with rolling hills.

You seem to have been inspired during your absence. This is great, David. Nicely painted, and particularly that tree. Very green which is a reflection of the time of year.

the trees particularly appeal to me - the sense of distance between and the contrast of detail - that main tree is beautifully painted - the foliage, tones, sense of form front to back and through - lovely!

An improvement over a cityscape any day...of course unless you happen to be painting one....
Very pleasing and well painted. A getting back to nature scene:)

I like the way the sky blue continues through the picture in the shadows.

Makes me want to sit down in the grass and enjoy the day...peaceful. Love the painting.
