This time I'm using Fabriano 75lb.(160gsm) acid free-tooth grain surface with Golden Acrylic ground for pastels on the paper and I'm so excited as it's my first time using a sanded ground!
Here is the first step after the alcohol wash...
What do you think?
I'm using Rembrandt artist pastels and mount vision, schmincke artists pastels dimension 91/2"x13"

Looking good! Can't wait to see the next stages, this is going to be great. Sanded grounds make layering a lot easier!

Good start Liz is another Master of pastel and a good friend, I will be seeing her at IAPS in June. and then again in July when she will be the juror and Judge for the Mile High international Show. Would like to see the finished painting when you are done.
