Did the cute bird in my no-name 6"x4" sketchbook with W&N water colors. Took me about 1 3/4 hours.

With apologies to the beautiful Netty, who I have aged at least 50 years, this was a 30 minute pencil sketch and water color on my no-name 4"x6" sketch book. Sorry :( !

Soft, sweet bird and nice Netty, who only needs some color in her hair to be young again. (Don't you wish all sketch books were identified? If we like them we don't know what to order next time.)

The mute colors offers inspiration and the form of the sparrow is very well capture. The overall composition is very balance and complete. Good work with the branches. :)

I love the negative painting effect in the branches and the portrait has a wonderful soft feel about it.
