If it's a reputable brand the name and type of paint will be on the label, along with the pigment number and opacity.
You might be able to determine acrylic or oils by the smell! ... also by whether it's mixable with water.

It may be an unknown make from China! - a lot of boxes like these, with oils or acrylics or w/colours are sold as sets but they seldom give any information about manufacture!

Well, that is something for sale. They made it clear the paint was acrylic but no info other than that. Might be on the labels but this is the best pic that I've got. I thought it could be some of the better known brands. Let's see if they get back to me. But thanks anyway, much appreciated.

Yup. Looks like that to me. They use that kind of box in their sets too.

it's a very nice set of Old holland Acrylic paint.....IMHO a very desirable paint...I use it and like it.....:thumbsup:

I don't use Old Holland so the tubes are unfamiliar - but I'd trust the peopl who have answered above.:)

Thanks for you help everyone! Yes, I thought that case looked quite exclusive for just some cheap paint of unknown origin. :) But no, I didn't get it, somebody else did for what I know.

People are correct is saying it's Old Holland Brand, I keep a few tubes of Old Holland Tit.White Extra...and Sepia Extra...more heavily pigmented ...
