View Full Version : Aqua Mandala

I would like to share with you one of my mandalas today. I have a lot of fun with my colour pencils and ink pens that I lay down over an acrylic layer. These works have a 'zen-tangle' type feeling and they are created in a meditative way - with a focus on one thing... awareness of the colour flowing onto the paper. I was influenced by a book I got out of the library full of illuminated manuscripts from the Middle-Ages. The little dragon in the lower left corner sneaked into the work right out of one of my favourite pieces...

10" x 8" Acrylic on Stonehenge paper with acrylic inks and colour pencils...

Stay Happy - I hope this post finds you well and peaceful...

I like it a lot and don,t know why. Maybe because the shape is the same as a Maori koru:-an unfurling fern.

Nice work. The leaves made me think of Canada, so I looked up and yep, you're from Canada, lol.
