Very well done painting but what are the things on her shoulders and the lines attached to them? Also curious about the title....King Billy.
I really admire all of your portraits.

Dear Cindy, I wish I had the answer, but I don't :)
King Billy is a knickname for a common butterfly in Northern America better known as the monarch butterfly. It was given by expelled european protestants when they arrived there. The orange color reminded them of their king William III of Orange in England. Maybe the things on her shoulders ... I don't know ...
I rather leave some questions unanswered :)
thanks, I appreciate your compliments
Kris

I will reiterate what Cindy said. I too love your work was was curious about the moths and the title.

I certainly understand your desire to leave some questions unanswered. The mystery makes it all the more appealing.

I admire your work so much that I'm rather glad there are areas without specific 'meanings', which you just allow to happen/appear.:)

The hair is amazing - I never tire of seeing your works.:)
