This is my latest acrylic painting on stretched canvas (700mm x 500mm). It was inspired by a fleeting moment of amazing light from a setting sun not actually visible in the view, as it a Mauritian bay that is facing north. However, transferred light turned the clouds on the horizon a peachy pink and the sea to an almost fluorescent turquoise. The sky and the boats in the foreground are reflected perfectly on the millpond sea. You have to believe me when I say that the colours as painted are totally authentic. I left out one boat that contributed nothing to the composition, and added some foreshore not actually in the original view. Hope you like it.

Wonderful colour and light. Your composition is very good too. There is lots of interest, but the scene isn't too busy. We don't get too much of a turquoise colour in the seawater this far north so this is a real treat.

Great colors, and you've painted the boats and the various reflections in the water beautifully.

I was so lucky to be there at that moment. It was a spiritual experience, and our wonderful planet never fails to impress.
