Hi folks, I found this painting yesterday tucked away in my studio, I knew I had it somewhere and it was one of those paintings that I started and never got around to finishing, and so I dusted it off and tweaked it.
Here it is its 20 x 36" Acrylic with pastel pencil. C&Cs welcome.

Katie: Exciting color and composition.
I also like the overlapping translucent quality.
Did you have to seal or spray the pastel pencil?
 Derek

This is gorgeous Katie. I love the fact that towards the bottom I am not certain if we are looking at the scene or some kind of reflection of other buildings.

Love the feeling of water in the lower part. Was the pastel pencil applied after the acrylic dried? Or during...or before? ;-) Thanks for sharing.

Love it. The textures and colours are thrilling!
Did you add paper for texture?

Very dynamic work, Katie. I love how it morphs into pure abstract toward the bottom, or perhaps reflections in water. Good to see you around!

My creative friends...my computer broke down  but I am back! anyway, thank you all very much for your comments and observations, it always thrills me when people take the time to comment, I never get bored of it :D

Dcam...actually I didn't use pastel pencil for this one, I used a special wax pencil (I forgot) mainly due to the fact that the last time I varnished a painting after using a pastel pencil on top of acrylic, it bled a tiny bit even after trying to seal it, it was awfully upsetting as it spoiled the painting in my view.

O'Don... I used a special kind of wax pencil, that does not smudge.

Fresin....Well spotted! there is a little bit of paper used in this piece.

ColinS...Wow I didnt see that, I like this painting even more now Ha ha!

Jon.......I am so glad you like this one!

Thank you everyone else!
