Most of my flower paintings in 2014, were done for the Plant Parades.
This was one I was very happy with, as it was my first time, using PanPastels.

I chose this hibiscus, 22x15 watercolor on Arches 140 lb cold press paper, that was in the February 2014 Plant Parade. Its vibrant colors and overall composition were what drew me to the gorgeous flower to explore in paint.

Its title is Hibiscus Halo; it sold quickly at an art show in March 2014.

I don't think I did any flower painting with which I was completely happy last year - but I liked this one from May, even though it got messed with the masking! -I think Katherine hosted 'Hats'!:)
Watercolour for this.

It will be this white Hedychium because I'd posted only a few last year.

I actually had two favorites, but decided to post the Windflowers painting from the Plant Parade of April 2014 (http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1347310&page=3&highlight=Plant+Parade) post #111 (I think). It's oil on gessobord, 12x9".

What I loved about this one was the sense of happy movement in the flowers, which are some of my favorite flowers to begin with.
