Join Johannes with hundreds of other artists in his next Paint Along. Strengthen your painting skills with 4 hours of painting fun for three Saturdays. He will start a painting from scratch and finish it in real time while you watch, "over his shoulder and hear him think out loud" and if you want, you will be able to complete your own art creation as well by painting along. During the class you will receive verbal techniques, color combinations, professional secrets, and instructions to guide you along the way. Watch as he mixes color in real time. One demo will be in acrylics, another in watercolor and another in pastels. No matter what medium you use, you will benefit from acquiring the "keys" to successful paintings. 12 hours of top quality art instruction!
You do not have to attend the live courses. Everything gets recorded and can be downloaded at no extra cost.

TIME: 1:00 to 5:00 PM EST (The class may extend more than 4 hours)
DATES: 3 Saturdays: Feb 21, 28, March 7
WHERE: From the comfort of your home

Looking forward to Paint Along 16! We have learned and enjoyed so much from Paint Along 1 to 15, and I am sure this one will be exceptional as well.

Hi Joh, What color ground would you recommend for tomorrow's painting, if done in acrylics? I was able to resize your 16:9 sketch to a 4:3 format for the 12x16 canvas pad I have, hope that will work ok.

Enjoyed the paintalong as always. I used the Pans and softer pastels near the end. I only had 9 by 12 paper so the perspective is off.

I would tone my canvas with burnt sienna with acrylics.

Is the painting analysis/critique that you did on Sunday Feb. 15 still online anywhere? I listened to part of it in the car as we traveled but couldn't follow the actual paintings. Would like to listen to the whole thing with the paintings to refer to. Thanks.

What a fun paint along! I am enjoying using pastels. I have been a watercolorist only in the past. I used a combination of pan pastels and soft and hard pastels. Looking forward to next saturday.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/24-Feb-2015/678462-P2241128.JPG

Thanks, Rosemarie. It's kinda clunky but I can track down the paintings online and then follow his narrative. He didn't have to convince me to do paint-along 16, but I love listening to his explanations every chance I get.

My effort for Week 2 of PA #16.
There is a lot of purple hues in this effort, even tho' it doesn't appear to be showing in this photo. I used A. Crimson and U. Blue to create my purples as I had no D Purple available in acrylic.
The right fore/mid ground gave me a good deal of trouble before I finally made it acceptable (?)
