View Full Version : New WIP: Knucklehead!

The most iconic (and the rarest) of the OHV Harleys, the Knucklehead (so nicknamed for the appearance of its rocker covers: they resemble a portion of a closed fist) was produced from 1936 thru 1947, and was also the most difficult for me to find to photograph, and when I did so at Mid-Ohio Motorsports Park in 2013, I took over 30 shots of it. Now, the time has come to finally attempt to do it justice. Big Time. As in 33X24" Big Time. Life-size, for all intents and purposes...
Being so large, WIP scans are problematic, but I'll shoot it on the easel daily for updates, probably starting Sunday. I just this morning finished transferring the image to the board, and will start diggin' at it in the a.m.
I'm aiming for a 3-week timetable. Wish me luck, eh?

Life size and LOTS of little details. This will definitely keep you busy for a while!!
I like the angle you chose for this.

Now that is a challenge which you clearly thrive on. Looking forward to seeing it progress.
