View Full Version : Great White Shark

Hello all! I am very new to scratch art and I've been practicing over the last several months, and I finally feel like I am starting to get the hang of it but I'm not quite there yet. I'm amazed by all of the incredible work I've seen in this forum, and the study threads have been really helpful. I made myself a goal of drawing 100 sharks on scratchboard to practice and build my skills, so here is one of them. I made it on a 5x5 piece of student grade Scratch Art brand board (not the best, I know!). I'm very eager to improve, so I welcome any constructive criticism, any tips would be very appreciated! :)

Definitely looks like a shark, yikes! The more you do on any one subject, the better you will get with it. Put this one away and look back on it after you have done a few more and you will be amazed at the differences you have made in your techniques over the weeks/months.

Good job, keep at it.

You've captured the excitement and terror of the shark.
