I've been looking into acrylic inks and pens/nibs. Are these pens basically a fountain Pen with different nibs/diameters? Do you need a special Acrylic type pen?

Any advice into this is appeciated :)

I've used the high flow Golden acrylics (http://www.goldenpaints.com/products/colors/high-flow) with traditional dip pens (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dip_pen), they work fine. Use it just like you would ink.

Just plain old dip pens Colleen - or brushes! - because you also can use them (beautifully) like watercolours.

You can use dip pens, traditional fountain pens and I just got a new makers pen. Noodler's Ink. I use black acrylic ink in it and find it works well. You can also use empty Copic marker cases and fill with acrylic ink for a good variety of lines. Montana empty cases work well also.

I am so sorry not to have replied earlier but after all you comments I ran out to Hobby Lobby. I got a holder, 4 tips (2 round and 2 pointy) and they had a pack of inks for a great price. Yellow, Red, Blue, Green, Black and Brown. I've been having fun playing and trying to find places in the Nov. Challenge Project to use them

Thanks Bunches Guys ! Colleen

Colleen,
They'd be great for those new hieroglyphs you thought of inventing :D.

I really want to try some empty markers. I was looking forward Montana ones, but any would do!
