Nov 1 is NanoJourmo month, along the same lines as Nanowrimo but with art journal prompts - I will be participating in this. Art Every Day month is the same concept but not necessarily in a journal. I will be participating in both but will likely do one piece of art which gets submitted to both. Maybe two sometimes, we'll see.

If anyone else would like to do either, here are the links:

I'll be posting my work for both here starting tomorrow.

Meanwhile for today (pre-nanojourmo!), here is a Halloween Painting from the WDE.

Great idea, thanks for sharing. November is not a good month for me to do art or writing everyday, so I won't be joining you.

Here is Day 1. I had guests over most of the day so I had to make sure I got it done before they got here!

I was uninspired by the Naonjourmo prompt today so I went with a page on my own which counts towards Art Every Day Month. Nanojourmo is doing song title prompts...which I don't care for. So I am not sure I'll be doing any of those but I might pick some that inspire me and leave the rest alone.

This is in a moleskine notebook that I have had for ages and kept saving for 'the good stuff'.

This is the good stuff. I especially like hot tea being part of art essentials. :)

Today was something quite different, I did a doodle sheet with various pens and watercolors. This is a closeup of a section of it - it's pretty abstract-y.

I experiment a lot with styles and materials so I will be jumping back and forth between line and color.

Forgot to say, thanks DrDebby!

Thank you DrDebby.

Today I picked up some leaves from the Japanese maple in the yard and drew those.

Sweet leaf sketches. Fall leaves are fun.

I love your doodle pages. They remind me of beautiful wrapping paper! Nice page of art supplies and the page of colorful leaves is great...nice shading on the leaves.
