View Full Version : My latest acrylic paintings

10-20-2014, 10:21 AM
I haven't posted here since last August,so please excuse the painting overload.I'm usually over in the A/W forum. The thing is,I don't like to post my paintings twice,so I save them up for the acrylic forum....I hope that's okay ?
Anyway,these were all commissions apart from the dusting horse.They measure anything from 20" x 16" to 30" x 24"(51 x 41cm - 76 x 61cm) and are painted in my usual acrylic/watercolour technique.
By the way I really enjoyed looking at all your acrylic art,but please excuse me for not commenting....three months of posts is a lot to catch up on.
Hope you all like this latest selection of paintings

All are great but the dobermans really captured my attention. The feeling of the fight is palpable.

Absolutely beautiful. The fighting donermans are superb, but it is the dog (whippet?) on the chair in the sun that really appeals to me. I love the sense of strong sunlight you have created.

Thanks so much for your kind compliments.
I'm thinking it would be best that I spend more time in this forum instead of the A/W forum.I'm enjoying the variety subjects being discussed here.
Colin-S....the dog on the couch in sunlight is a Lurcher, very similar to a Greyhound.....a very elegant breed of dog.Her name was Princess Cherry and sadly passed away last Spring.

Thanks Julian. Sorry to hear about Princess Cherry, but your lovely painting will keep her memory alive in such a superb way.

Some I've seen before but always worth viewing again!
Those dogs in the first - complex composition - different and stunning - like the horse dust-bathing! Both superb!
I remember Princess Cherry from earlier.:)

Would love to have you spend more time here too - we're very appreciative!;)

These are such a treat to view. Your work is exquisite. They are all fabulous, but the dusting horse is, for me, the star of this series. Thanks for sharing!

Wow! those paintings are amazing! I can't believe you used acrylic. I thought it was oil paints. Everything is very detailed like I'm looking at photographs.
