Hello Everybody,

I am new to this forum and a beginner artist. right now fooling with acrylics. I want to paint something similar to this. Wondering how the artist achieved fine lines...on hair and outlines. Did he used a marker!!?Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thank you

If it was me I'd use a liner brush: http://utrechtart.com/Dynasty-Black-Gold-Synthetic-Brush-for-Watercolors---Acrylics--Script-Liners-MP-06313-001-i1005477.utrecht

The lines drawn by this artist in a very illustrative way must have been done with a marker. It would be difficult to achieve with a brush.

I like the idea of a marker as well. Be cautious not all markers are created equal. Try to avoid dye based markers. If you can, get an empty marker and fill with acrylic ink.

A liner brush would also work. We had one member here who would allow his liner brush to sit in water until it developed a curve. It made making the lines easier and more uniform.

I've seen others mention using acrylic markers on this forum. If you try them out, let us know your thoughts =)
