I completed this 11" x 14" board yesterday. Initially I had thoughts of adding colour and still haven't made up my mind whether to do so. The reference photograph used with permission by Emmanuel Keller.

Such a charming piece. Excellent work! The fur is stunning.

I love it! It would look good with or without color. I think it is just a personal choice as it looks great in b/w only.

The clumps of hair and the facial expression are both so well done. It looks wonderful as, but color will work as well. The age old scratchart question, whether or no to color.

A nice subject suiting the title or is it the other way around ? Fur texture compels all the attention .

Thank you Jenna, Sue, TJ, Venkat and Jenny for your comments. :) I have decided that I won't be adding colour to this one.

I have become more and more a fan of bears. They are powerful, stink, and are scary, but by gosh, they are magnificent, beautiful creatures. You have reallt captured this bear. I especially like the natural tipping and dividing of the fur. Hard to capture. I agree. Don't color it.
