I'm looking for some critique on this, especially the background. I'm just not happy with it. Too busy? Too colorful? Too much of a halo effect near the heads? I'm also really having trouble with the computer color matching on this one. If I get the background colors right the people are too yellow - if I get the skin tones better the background is too blue. The other 5 have been fine to match - but this one  In the original the background is a stronger yellow-green than this one.

What if you darken the background to make the subjects come forward?

Here it is in the context of the other 5

I don't see the 'halo' as taking away from the overall image. What I see is beautiful.

When I first saw the image and hadn't read the text yet, I thought "Wow!". I would not change a thing. All computer monitors are different and io mine, the people are a nice brown, but the background is a tad blue. Even in the montage, the background is blue. But if the boards are the way you want them, then I would not worry about it. If you are using a camera, bear in mind that most cameras tend to show a bluish tint that scanners do not.

You could put it up on a photo program (I use GIMP) and enclose the background with the 'free select' tool (It is where you can outline something instead of just a square or a circle) and then you can change whatever is in that enclosure with any color, or erase ,or anything and it will not go outside the enclosure. Sometimes I have to do this when I need to print or show in this forum and the colors are not right.

Seeing them all together.. the background is cohesive. A nice collection!

Thank you, Ginger, I'm going to do some of what you suggest by darkening the background a bit and simplifying it.
Thank you, Hector!
Sue, if I make the changes and still can't get the colors right on screen I'll try something like that. Thank you for taking time to comment.

Don't touch a thing. this is so striking and evocative. The whole series is very striking and beautifully rendered with the backgrounds tying the series together nicely.
