This is done on clayboard using an airbursh and tatoo needles. The reference was taken by my husband on a trip to Myanmar last May. He brought me hundreds of photos of Budhas from all over the country. I will try to post some of them in the reference library. Its time I gave back, since I have used many photos from there.

By the way, the original is 3x5 :)

I was looking at the work in the band for her headdress. Amazing! I also think you did an admirable job portraying stone, as I would think it would be difficult. Very interesting subject.

Great Sydne... how did you like the airbrush?

Thank you Marie, the statue appears to be white marble, I think it is painted and is really shiny. The head dress has gold leaf added. They were some unusual textures for me, for sure.

Ginger, my airbrush cost all of $49 with the compressor  It stays clogged up and doesn't ever spray anything smooth. So, I pretend that's what I was going for :D I have sprayed water through it, I have sprayed cleaner through it, I have taken it apart and cleaned every piece of it, I have put it back together, I have considered throwing it down the hill and into the creek...
I just got a check from the gallery that has my stuff, so I am shopping for a better one. I am sure that once I get one that will behave itself I will love it.
