Used Blender 2.71. This is closer to what I'm after, but it was also a lot more work than my previous postings using Blender. This is inspired by Wyeth and others of his genre. Comments welcome.

Nice image.
I am also playing with some 3D programs at the moment but haven't tried Blender yet. How steep is the learning curve?

Thanks. Daibhi, the learning curve depends on your experience with graphic programs. It is a fairly difficult program involving about 50-60 hotkeys which gives you an idea of how many steps you have to go through. The best part is that the skills you learn can be translated to all art, painting, drawing, etc. because you have to learn perspective coordinates, depth of field, textures, color and some physics. Even with a BFA in Art I didn't quite understand great as opposed to good art until I learned Blender. It is worth the effort for any artist.
