Started on this one and a few others late last night. That clay wire brush is making the initial bits go pretty darn fast which is exciting. I might buy another tool set just so I can cut the brush down to maybe half the bristles for tighter areas. We'll see. The brush is one tool in a set of clay tools...I might need to invest in clay at this rate just so I can use the other tools.

Love the lighting on this! Do you have a pic of the wire brush?

Here it is Sue. The top one is unmodified and the bottom one is the one I cut about 3/16 of an inch off of. The cut created a bent burr on one side of the bristles which is why it is so good at shoveling ink right off the board now lol. It's not a perfect replacement for the fgbrush, but it's the closest thing I've found so far. Plus I think that icepick looking thing in the tool set is going to give me finer whiskers than my scribe does. :)

It's this set at HL. http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/dollmaking-clay-tool-set-121210/

If you use the 40% off coupon in the app or printed from their site, the set is only $6. I'm willing to pay that...more than once obviously lol!

I like the effects you are getting in the textures, the fur. I can't yet tell what the subject is but am looking forward to its reveal as the scratching progresses. I at first that you were referring to the Am
persand tools, but I think you are talking about tools to work clay with, right?

Completely done the clay wire brush and a smaller round tattoo needle so far. Still a way to go.

And a little more...swimming lessons are not nearly long enough to get much done lol! Working entirely with the tattoo needles at this point.

Hi Netta, sorry been busy and missed your message. It's finally edited to 'finished'. Better late than never. Love the technique in this one!
