View Full Version : Pensive Primate of Mount Popa-WIP

This guy got a little testy after my husband took one too many pictures of him, but....you really don't see it in the photo. :wink2: It was taken on Mount Popa in Myanmar during his recent visit there.
This is just the first layer of scratches. I want to add color to this one and get the background to receede substantially. I will post more as I go along.

Lots of potential here.

Thanks for the encouragement, Danna, Nettasaura, Harry, Ginger, WM, and TJ. Here he is with some color added to the background and an ink wash on the monkey with another layer of scratches. He seems to be getting more interesting, anyway. I didn't think I would want color on him, but now that I see a photo of him, I think some color will improve him.
This lovely cell phone picture is a little blurry...sorry about the poor quality.

It's looking good! That little bit of background is a nice addition and his expression is great.

Coming along nicely and I like his expression. I vote for some color on the monkey too, since you have some on the branch & leaves.

I have added some color to the monkey. Now I am not sure the trees are far enough in the background...any suggestions?
