Close to finish and then the signature. The abstract background is a study for this months project on negative spaces. I hope you like her. BUD

Lovely portrait! It truly tells a story that appears to stretch back thousands of years... The background is a FANTASTIC use of negative space... One comment I would make is to introduce some of the background colors into the shadows of the arms and hands which seem a tad too warm and light to me...

Chavali..... thank you very much for your kind words.
This piece is 6 3/4in. by 12 in. its on primed untempered Masonite. I may crop a wee bit off the bottom, maybe about halfway between the bottom and the hands. I'll have to make a custom frame anyway. Also thinking the perspective on the right arm is a little off, and as Jeanine says maybe some cools in the arms and hands.
Jeanine.....Your observation is appreciated and I'll take your advise. I really wanted to do a more historical approach on this piece as opposed to a highly colorful Pow-Wow rendition, thanks for picking up on that.

Here is the final. Not much change, but in the pile she goes.

mclaughlin.........I appreciate your kind words.
I had quite a bit of the Pile posted some time back, but I deleted most of if trying to conquer this sizeing thing. I figure it would be kind of cheeky to repost, as those who answered may feel slighted.
