This is my project for June. I posted the sketch, the value study, and this final Acrylic in the june project of negative spaces.

I like what you have done. You have done a nice job in your blending and the way you have treated yous negative spaces add a lot of interest to the picture :) Very nice!

Thanks Gerri.........I usually do my figures in watercolor and leave them as a vinyette so the background was a real challenge. I may do a Pow-Wow series, It will be very colorfull and a lot looser.

Your picture is loose and full of expression. She "speaks" in her silent pose...excellent.

mclaughlin.....Sorry for not answering. I've been busyer than spit on a griddle.
No not doing much art. I started a portrait. The canvasboard I chose was a recycle. Toned acrylic gesso over an old oil. I sketched the figure in pencil and when I used a fixative, the whole thing pealed off like paint remover. Cussed myself for a damn fool.
I'll start over soon.
