An oldie but goodie. Had to do some repairs from scuffing while traveling. Always a pain. a few closeups to enjoy.
a 9 x 12 oils on canvas.

Titled "Velvet Rose" due to its frost bloom which made for a odd look.

Another beautiful painting.
Water droplets are really super - and are those little insect eggs I see? :)

Wow, gorgeous painting! I love the way the frost bloom did give it a velvety look, the color's subtle and rich, the dew on it glorious. Nice soft edges and contrasting hard details. I'm surprised it's oils, I thought it was a great pastel painting! Goes to show how the same effects can work in more than one medium. Beautiful color passages.

I'm impressed with anyone that can do water drops and do them well, but then to go make it look like velvet? Simply gorgeous!

Simply beautiful. I think the title Velvet Rose is so fitting. Great water droplets, as others have noted.
