I gave a weekend workshop at the start of June. I was blessed with super students ranging from one with no art experience to a couple of professional artists. They were so eager to learn that they stayed 2 hrs past the end of day one and came in an hour early on day 2. I don't have images of the final work but every one of them was a credible piece and several could go into the gallery for sale. I was busting with pride for this group. Here is what they worked on day 1.

I appreciate the comments from all of you. I see one of my students on Thursdays at studio day and she is just going gangbusters, another got back from a trip and got right to work. It's exciting to get others excited for our cherished art form. The one on Thursday is plotting for Tucson 2016:) (as am I, very much looking forward to that one that is so accessible for me)

They say a good teacher can ignite the fire, congratulations you did. Lovely pieces and glad there are more scratch folks coming. Keep firing them up

Thank you all for looking and commenting, both on the work and on the teaching. "Lighting the fire" (Nelvia) is what it's all about.
