This a painting I did of my sweet Corky. I got him to pose for me. He is a lot of fun and very smart. He dose not have as many colors as the other bird I painted.He has a good vocabulary :) He is a Quaker.

OH Lucy, He is a looker though. Such a sweet thing. You did him justice! great job!

Thank you Barb, Blr, Elanine, Arl, and Michelle. He even whistles The Farmer in the Dell for me. Really a fun bird and Pet. Nice to have someone in the house with me. I love cats too, and dogs. But I"m allergic to to them.

I like it. I had a cockatiel called Corky, when I was a kid. He was a plucky little bugger and I loved him dearly. :music: :music: :)

I'm not a fan of the vingette approach, or the overt background colours. I think a slightly darker, more mute background palette would work better here to really push those lovely plumage colours and provide contrast. Right now Corky seems to be competing with the background, which is unfair on his part. Great job on the plumage though. He still looks splendid. :thumbsup:
