I'm back in Indiana seeing family and doing some business. I went to my favorite Indiana State Park again. Working plein air for 80% of this and polished in my buddies garage, turned studio. (I've even got him doing a portrait of his Harley! From Life! 24X36 ink on Clayboard.)http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/23-Jun-2014/19717-image.jpg

I did this distorted take on this, trying to combine the scenic view and a glimpse under the beautiful structure.

The composition and shadows on this are wonderful. Beautiful piece. It's nice to see some more of your plein air work.

Rodman , an exquisite piece . Covering large area with black ink without your usual method of airbrushing , while working plein air would have posed a big challenge .

Wow just for the piece of work and double wow for plein air on top of it. Just beautiful work.

Thank you, it really is a great place to work. I was trying to remember how many times I have painted this bridge. I came up with 8.... And did 2 one on one sessions with people wanting a lesson. Great Fun. Thanks again for looking.

It would be interesting to see all 8 of the together and in a time line to see what changes you might have made to keep it challenging to you.

I was just thinking about you and opened this page and there you were! I love the bridge...particularly the reflected light on the under side. Beautifully done.

This is pure Rodman. Love all the contrast, the distorted point of view, the intricacy of detail.

Thanks friends! I'm still stuck here in Indiana. Closing on my house was set for 2 weeks ago & they still haven't handed me my money yet. I used the time to do another tweaked take on this bridge.
