I thought I'd cross posted this pastel sunflowers in vase from the June 2014 Spotlight challenge in Pastel Talk forum:

7" square
Girault pastels on Stillman & Birn Delta journal 180lb rough watercolor paper. Spectrafix pastel fixative.

And here's today's flower...

Watercolor Rose
Watercolor on 3" x 5" Moleskine watercolor journal
From my own photo.

I was waiting for the exterminator's bug bomb to finish airing out, in another room, so got out some watercolors and the little pocket Moleskine and played with my Kindle camera roll till I remembered how cool this rose photo was. Including photo if anyone wants to paint from it in any medium, or draw it, or whatever as if RIL:

This is either the same photo or another from the same series of four or five, it's the one I resized and put on my computer. Enjoy and use as if RIL - this is what the flower looked like before I painted it. I simplified it a little as you can see.

Thank you! I've been getting into flowers a lot lately and really having a good time with them.
