I saw so many beautiful birds, but this one struck out to me the most. So I painted it. In painter X. On one layer, using conte brush, air brush, and blender.I"m showing my steps.

This is the bird I painted. Don't know what kind.

Lucy, this is exquisite! amazing detail in capturing the colors. And I really like the gradient background. Everything is just perfect!

What an amazing bird, I can see why you would want to paint it. You did an excellent job, really nice texture on those feathers. The bird looks so real but I would like to see the same realism on the branch.

And thanks for showing the steps.

Thanks Barb, Elaine, and Michelle. I was more interested in the bird and colors, than I was of the branch, which I could of done more realistic.:D But he was perching on something. I can fix that easily though.
