I am now a member of the McCook Art Guild and Art Center! I finally have somewhere to show and hopefully sell my art! I can even have the month of July for a one person art show in "The Vault," where my work can hang exclusively for the month! I am so excited! It's finally beginning to happen!:clap:

Sounds wonderful. So far my only gallery is my office wall. When I travel I often see artists set up in open air markets (tourists areas if you know what I mean) and they are usually painting while sitting at their booth. Makes me want to purchase something of theirs. Are you planning painting at any time during your show?

Have fun and let us know how it goes. Pam

Yes, it is a co op. 15% commission on any sales. Have to give 24 hours a year to the gallery.

Congratulations on your acceptance, Christine! And on your getting the show there. That rocks! I hope you sell lots and have a great time working there during your 24 cumulative hours.

Congrats on getting into the gallery. Are you really only required to put in 24 hours/year? Did you really mean per month? The coops I've seen around here the artist usually has to cover 2-4 shifts per month.

Pretty sure he said a year. They're only open 1-4 during the week and 10-4 on Saturdays, unless there's an event going on in town.
