Welcome to the forum!

People will offer feedback if they wish to, but it would be helpful if you could say a little about the painting and that C&C would be appreciated ...... otherwise members might feel you would just like things like 'nice work' or 'pretty painting'!:)

I like these bright flowers emerging from the dark background and the vase is very well painted - I like the use of lost and found edges, on the vase particularly - and they could be used a little more on the flowers themselves.
Very harmonious colour scheme - good.:)

Ramya, the only suggestion I would make is to choose a hard edge to place on the vase. The flowers have such strong form, and then the vase is kind of airy and soft-edged all over. Maybe a nice strong highlight (not large) on the vase.... I really like the sunflowers, it reads summer to me.

Thanks Kittie, will make the change and post it,you are right

Beautiful flowers. I like the way the petals have depth, with strong bright lights on the top petals and dimmer tones of yellow on the underneath petals. Compositionally, I'd prefer to see the whole more centered...the flowers almost touch the top of the canvas, but the vase is a few inches up from the bottom. While that allows you to include the fallen petals on the tabletop, they kind of blend in to the reflected lights on the tabletop, so they don't read as strongly in the composition...just my opinion though...

Thanks Lea,will redo based on your suggestions too.You are correct on the composition,I always fudge on that in the eagerness to paint / finish a painting...
