This week's art project found me breaking out the oils, it's been far too long since I have painted a traditional piece, it felt good. I was able to do this one at home due to the size (and the fact I use water soluble oils).
9x12 WS Oils on cradle panel. C&C welcome, I hope you enjoy. :)

This is a wonderful piece, Chris, such depth through your masterful use light and shadow....I have missed seeing these traditional paintings from you. Encore!

It looks like a kelp bed on a bright day with calm, clear water. The non-kelp like colors just add to it's attractiveness IMHO. Nice.

Thanks again everyone for the kind words - I plan on doing some more soon, I have some larger canvases I'm the studio ( trouble Is finding the motivationto get down thereand put in some quality time!)
