Hey Nikki, I don't think I can be of much help, after all, I'm the guy who saw your piano as a harmonica; But anyway, maybe some sumptuous colors, like Hairy Wolf uses, would fit the angle of the King being involved?

Regards,
Trier

Like the color simplicity and composition, interesting with balance. Maybe the whitish tall triangular-ish shape to the left may be a little bit distracting because of it's brightness. Keeps eye from exploring the other goodies in the scene ...but I would be careful to not change it too-too much. Liking it as it is overall.

Thanks, Trier....coming from the artist who makes landscapes sing, but I did place colour around this in photoshop and in fact you are right this would work only if I was talented enough to be able to replicate it again.

Dave, I really thought I had hit a wall with this one, is it crap or is it not crap? But even though the colours are so dead it seems to work for some strange reason. Unfortunately, the white is over exposed again. Thank you for commenting on it. It helped tremendously.

It helped tremendously. We are very often our worst critics - and I think, at least partially, it is because we care about what we let go and produce. I have seen paintings sell that I would never have believed would even be looked at twice let alone bought!

You have a very curious and fanciful imagination with the little worlds that you present in your paintings. We all look forward to seeing the next ones you know!:thumbsup:

If it were mine, I'd call it finished. I like the composition and low key palette with just enough dark linear elements for contrast, without which the painting would lose its sharpness. Adding stronger color would completely change the character of this work; I like it as is.
