Here are 2 photos of my kinetic painting from last night's opening at the James Fuentes Gallery.

Harry,I really like the sculpture but I personally find the pipe beside it detracting in the least of descriptives. Nice show, congrats!

Has you style all over it. Was there anything to note about the wood you made your marks on? It looks like a 2x2. I wish the top and bottom could be seen. Reminds me of a skinny totem with a combination of 2d marks in a 3d environment. Quite interesting Harry.

I have seen other photos of the Fuentes Gallery space and the pipe and column are just a part of the space's architecture.

Saje - not all decisions are aesthetic sometimes practical considerations trump Artistic ones. This piece had to be hung from above. There was a short horizontal pipe by this vertical one which provided a secure place to hang this piece. Also if this piece were hung in the middle of the gallery it would have been bounced all over the place at the opening.

Dave -I am glad that this 35 year old piece is recognizable as mine, very cool. This was painted on a pine 2 X 4 (1 1/2" X 3 1/2").
The photo on the right shows the whole piece.

Looks like it has held up well for it's age! :D

I meant the bottom photo shows the full height of the piece. It is 6 ft tall.

Very interesting piece, Harry and it says so much that a piece that old is recognizable as yours. Cograts on the gallery show.
