16x20 acrylic&tempera/paper

I was trying to lighten my palette but didn't quite make it because I was mixing on the fly, instead of taking more time; therefore, darker than intended.

Love the motion in your brushwork Trier.

oooo...yes.

This might be my favorite so far. Good contrast of light and dark, nicely composed, and love those strong and sturdy trees.

You go, boy!

Now you are channeling van Gogh.

Good job on this one!

And it is very reminiscent of the style of some of the Group of Seven or Tom Thomson, icons of we neighbours to the north. Here is a link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Tom_Thomson_Sketch_for_%27The_Jack_Pine%27_1916.jpg) to one of Tom Thomson's sketches for his famous painting "The Jack Pine". Hope it is interesting to you.

Cheers,

Nothing wrong with dark, I say. This is really very Van Gogh-y - good job!
